29/03/11 - Tarrenig Rally - Due to popular demand the Tarenig Rally is back in the calendar after a couple of years out, running on Sunday 8th May. It will follow the usual HDBC rally format, with a really interesting and varied 35 mile lap consisting of fire roads, forest tracks and open hill with plenty of spectacular Mid Wales countryside, with 3 special stages per lap planned. It will include a few more challenging optional routes which seemed to go down well when the club trialled them at the Hafren rally.

Entry fee is £65 and there will be separate classes for both trail and enduro bikes (no MX bikes) and a beginners class for the new comers/less confident riders. The beginners class will do the same course, but will be expected to complete a lap less and will start at the back of the entry so they are not riding amongst the quicker riders.

Camping is available at the start area, which is a beautiful field right by the side of the River Wye below the now closed Glan Severn pub, the other side of the A44 from the Sweet Lamb motor sport complex.

As this is a fun social event, there will be a social get together on the Saturday evening at the start area where there will be a hog roast and bar laid on to give everybody a chance to have a chat and a few beers, not too many mind!

Autumn is the season of mist and mellow fruitfulness and Hafren Dirt Bike Club had an abundance of both for this Sunday's Hafren Rally when a warn wind from the Southwest brought with it a blanket of low cloud that covered Mid Wales. The start was in the Sweet Lamb Motorsport Complex near Llanidloes and scrutineering began at 7.30am. 10/04/10 - GT Wall Tarrenig Rally 9th May - Cancelled

It is with regret that we have been forced to cancel the Tarrenig Rally. This is due to the re-scheduling of the Scottish round of the British Enduro Championship that was cancelled a couple of weeks ago due to severe snow, to the weekend of the 8/9th May. A large number of our core club members will be attending this event either riding or as support crew. We have scoured the calender in order to try and find an alternative date, but every option we have seems to either clash or come up against other issues so we have no other option other than to cancel.

All entries that we have received will be returned in full within the next fortnight.

Hope to see you all at the Hafren Rally in October.

For those of you who may be interested the Welsh ISDE team are planning on running a rally as a fundraiser in the Abbey Forestry near Rhayader on the 23rd May, they are awaiting final confirmation from the Forestry Commission that everything is ok. Once this happens they will release regs on Enduro News. www.enduronews.com

09/02/10 - HAFREN ENDURO (event to be held on 5th & 6th June 2010) – Round 3 of the ACU Metzeler British Enduro Championship Regs will be available on Saturday 1st May via the website Entries will close on the 22nd May or when FULL (max 180)

09/02/10 - HAFREN RALLY (event to be held on 10th October 2010)– Regs available on Wednesday 1st September via the website Entries will close on 24th September or when FULL is sooner NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED
